When Mike was cornered by Louis to smoke pot with a potential client in order to win him. Louis threatened Mike to fire him on grounds of failing the drug test. Mike actually did it because he thought Louis had the gun to his head.

Harvey have different perspective when someone have a gun to your head.

Harvey: What are your choices when someone puts a gun to your head?

Mike: What are you talking about? You do what they say or they shoot you.

Harvey: WRONG. You take the gun, or you pull out a bigger one. Or, you call their bluff. Or, you do any one of a hundred and forty six other things.

As it turns out, Mike did actually pass the drug test and Louis was playing with the fake report.
